One issue still critical in the community that is often overlooked in the ear of COVID-19, is HIV. When it comes to HIV, some things have changed. The epicenter has shifted to the South, and although the rates among African Americans have been steadily declining, Black people continue to face the most severe burden of infections compared to other ethnic groups. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2018 Black and African American people accounted for 13% of the U.S. population,however accounted for 42% of the new HIV diagnoses. Actor J. Cameron Barnett, from the hit FX series "POSE," joins "Black News Tonight" with Marc Lamont Hill to discuss the topic.
