The news has led to outrage online in what seems like another example of the way the criminal legal system works differently for white and Black people. Anna Morgan Lloyd traveled with her hairdresser to Washington D.C. to hear former President Donald Trump speak. The 49-year-old was not involved in any of the violence, and she did not plan or organize the attacks. She entered the Capitol Building for ten minutes after the barriers were breached. Lloyd has no criminal history, expressed remorse and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. She was sentenced to three years of probation, has to perform 120 hours of community service and pay a $500 fine in restitution after admitting to unlawfully entering the Capitol.
