Kristin Fulwylie Thomas, the managing director of the Equal Ground Education Fund, joined “Start Your Day” to discuss what the next step is for Democrats.
Fulwylie Thomas talked about how voting suppression laws at the federal level will put pressure on Democrats, but she also acknowledges that some states are dealing with restrictive voting laws. Fulwylie Thomas even referenced Florida, the state she resides in. Thomas believes that law makers at the federal level need to pass H.R.1, which will hopefully stop a lot of these states from passing voter suppression bills that directly affect Black and Brown people.
