Video games are becoming part of the cultural mainstream, going from simple mindless entertainment to telling stories and inspiring television shows and movies. Grand Theft Auto V is already considered the most successful piece of entertainment of all time, and Fortnite isn’t too far behind. Netflix noticed the trend, and wants to increase revenue by making it possible to play video games via the mobile app on your phone. “I think it’s ingenious too, how Netflix recognizes, you got to embrace your competition,” said “Start Your Day” co-host Sharon Reed. “They’re saying ‘we can take this.’ And that’s what they’re doing. I think it’s brilliant.”
