The announcement was made in response to the recent surge in pediatric COVID-19 cases across the country and as children are gearing up for the fall school semester. Teachers and staff at schools who are not vaccinated will have to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.
A recent poll found out that 20% of parents won’t vaccinate their kids, with the reason cited being not enough is known about the long-term effects of the vaccine.
Democrats plan on tackling voter reform once they’re back in session in September. Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced plans to curve influence on big money in politics.
Amtrak is updating its vaccination protocol. According to the company’s new memos, they will require employees who don’t have the vaccine to either have a valid medical reason or be subjected to weekly testing. New employees have to show vaccine proof on October 4, 2021 and current employees have until November 1, 2021.
