With cases rising in the southern state, hospitals are above 100% capacity. As a result, medical teams are converting hallways, patient rooms and emergency rooms into spaces to treat patients in need of an ICU bed. There are almost 2,700 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Alabama hospitals.
