Coming up in Texas, a new law bans abortions with no exceptions even for rape or incest.
The law went into effect today after the Supreme Court failed to act on an eleventh-hour emergency petition last night by abortion rights advocates who were trying to block it, even though the Supreme Court could still intervene at any moment. Also, the new law will allow private citizens to sue abortion providers or anyone else for that matter, who helps a woman get an abortion.
Political strategist Sarah Slamen and Michelle Anderson, policy associate at The Afiya Center, joined Blow on “Prime” to discuss impact of the abortion ban.
