However, Drake also raised some eyebrows by crediting R. Kelly as a composer and lyricist on “TSU.” Robert Kelly is currently on trial for 22 federal charges of alleged sex crimes, human trafficking, child pornography, racketeering and obstruction of justice.
Drake’s producer, Noah “40” Shebib, explained the R. Kelly songwriting credit on “TSU.”
“I’m not here to defend drakes lyrics, but I thought I would clear up that there is no actual r Kelly present and it’s a bit misleading to call him a co lyricist,” 40 said in his Instagram comment. “Then I saw this post and just had to say something because to think we would stand beside that guy or write with him is just incredibly disgusting.”
