It shocked sports fans all over the world. Osaka, who was ranked the world's highest-paid female athlete, said in a press conference at the U.S. Open that she had been struggling with anxiety and depression over the last few years.
"I feel like for me recently... when I win, I don't feel happy… I feel more like a relief, and then when I lose, I feel very sad. I don't think that's normal,” she said.
