11:00Now PlayingWelcome to “Making the Case” hosted by Yodit Tewolde.
Coming up, R. Kelly returns to a federal court room in Brooklyn, New York along with a jury of seven men and five women, who will be deciding his fate.
The prosecution has put on several witnesses who've all testified in graphic detail about the sexual, physical and emotional abuse they endured. Most of those accounts come from Black women, most of whom were underage girls when they met Kelly.
Jade Magnus Ogunnaike, senior director of media, culture and economic justice at "Color of Change," a civil rights advocacy organization, joins Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the issues concerning the trial.
