He was also an activist who was committed to ending mass incarceration by working with organizations like the Innocence Project and the ACLU. Williams produced a documentary on VICE called “Raised in the System.” He embarked on a personal journey to expose the root of America's mass incarceration problem, the juvenile justice system.
Journalist Lilly Workneh, who interviewed Williams about his documentary, joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss.
