Johnson & Johnson is looking to run a booster trial in South Africa. The company's COVID-19 vaccine has already been used in a trial involving about half a million health care workers in the country.
Also, South Africa has begun vaccinating 2,000 children and adolescents against the coronavirus. They are part of a global trial featuring China's Sinovac Biotech COVID-19 vaccine for children between 6 months old and 17 years old.
