Boston will make history in November by electing both its first woman and first person of color as Mayor. Michelle Wu and Annissa Essaibi George emerged as the two candidates on the ballot. Both women served on the Boston City Council. Wu is of Taiwanese descent and George identifies as an Arab-Polish American. Native American tribes in Connecticut have been fighting to have their history taught in schools and now, a new law will require it with an emphasis on local tribes.
