YouTube Description
as posted by the channelMichelle Obama is a proud native of Chicago’s South Side, a badge of honor she represented loudly during Tuesday’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Obama Presidential Center.
The former First Lady recalled some of her many achievements, including her law career, falling in love and shaking hands with two popes. “No matter what I've accomplished, or who I've met or where I've gone, one of my greatest honors is being a proud Chicagoan, a daughter of the South Side,” said Obama. The former First Lady added the city defines her at her core and makes her who she is. She went on to say the OPC will be a vital resource for the people who live in the area by serving as a place where people can find work and kids can learn and grow, among other things.
