7:02Now PlayingKierra Coles was three months pregnant when she went missing in October 2018. Fast forward three years later, and her family continues to fight to bring awareness to her disappearance.
Coles was 26 years old the last time she was seen in her hometown of Chicago. While her family believes they know who has information about her disappearance, they say Chicago police has let them down by taking their time with the investigation, and often leaving them in the dark. It's a story we hear far too often when it comes to cases of missing Black women and girls, which is why “Making the Case” takes the time to highlight these often-ignored stories. Coles’ mother Karen Phillips joins Yodit Tewolde to discuss her daughter’s case.
All this and more on “Making the Case.”
