Fast forward to today, Array Releasing has partnered with Gerima for a spectacular 4K restoration of “Sankofa,” which is now available in its full glory on Netflix. Developed from 20 years of research into the untold history of Black resistance, the film has been hailed “a celebration of the strength of Black people.”
