4:06Now Playing“DC Today” host Del Walters continues with coverage of missing Black people, focusing on men, including Jelani Day and Daniel Robinson.
Day and Robinson’s cases received little no media coverage, attributing to 524 Black boys and men missing in America. While Day’s body was found 11 days after he was reported missing, Robinson has still not been found. If media coverage and police involvement was greater, would the numbers be less?
Amsterdam News journalist Josh Barker joins Walters to discuss. He says the coverage isn’t the same, using himself as an example. There would be a search, he said, but that’s basically as far as it’ll go.
All this and more on “DC Today.”
