However, people with certain immuno-compromised conditions may not be able to fight off the disease after getting vaccinated. Retired General Colin Powell died of COVID-19 complications on Oct. 18.
The 84-year-old was fully vaccinated, but he also had a type of blood cancer which made fighting off the virus difficult.
