The Grammy-nominated artist has been doing some powerful acting, as he is one of the stars in a short film called “Her Lyfeline.” It premieres on Sept. 23 as part of B.E.T. presents "The Hotline," an initiative to raise awareness around domestic violence. It is a series of short films focused on topics vital to Black women and their wellbeing.
DeVaughn, who plays the character Cava in “Her Lyfeline” and the producer of the film, Tressa Azarel Smallwood, join Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss the film and the issue of domestic violence.
