19:54Now Playing“DC Today” host Del Walters joins “Start Your Day” hosts Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to talk about Colin Powell, the first Black U.S. Secretary of State who has died from COVID-19 complications. Walters say if you look at the great leaders of the 21st century, Colin Powell is among the Americans you will look at. Walters says as we talk about his legacy, we also have to discuss the fact “this is a way of life among people who recognize that America is a nation of immigrants and because we’re a nation of immigrants, all of us come from a place that was probably worse off than we are here.” He went on to say that Powell, and others like him, strived to make the country a better place. In response to Powell’s almost presidential run, Walters says the general would’ve won if he actually gave it a shot and “everybody knew it.”
