11:08Now PlayingA small victory today for a civil rights organization that’s been demonstrating outside the courthouse where three white men are on trial for killing Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia.
Defense attorneys wanted the group to move from outside the courthouse, but a judge denied that defense motion, saying none of the people that have been demonstrating in the past few weeks have caused issues.
In Peru, Illinois, a group of people held a march in honor of Jelani Day. The 25-year-old’s body was found in the Illinois River on Sept. 4. However, it took weeks for his identity to be confirmed.
