5:13Now PlayingIf you’ve filled up your vehicle with gas lately, you’re certainly aware of how expensive it is. “BNC Live” host Laverne McGee cites a global energy crisis for the spike in costs worldwide.
The spike comes as Congress hosts a hearing on climate issues with “big oil executives.” All of this comes at a time when oil giant ExxonMobil has made major oil discoveries in Guyana. The country is made up of, and run by, mainly Black and Brown people of African and Indian descent. McGee recently talked to Prime Minister Mark Phillips on Guyana’s recent transformation from poverty to wealthy oil nation, and the opportunities there that exist for Americans.
