According to 2020 Census data, the majority of the population growth in the U.S. can be attributed to the growth of Black and Brown communities.
At the same time, there has been a concerted effort in states such as Texas, Georgia, Michigan, and others to dilute the power of the Black vote. Their legislative weapon of choice is redistricting or gerrymandering.
