Porter previously said Vogue chose “a straight white man” on the cover instead of a person from the LGBTQ+ community. Porter is known for representing gender fluidity in fashion, especially on the red carpet. Porter said Styles’ interest in challenging gender norms in fashion is not motivated by lived experiences.
