The bipartisan bill promises money for everything from new roads and mass transit lines, to updating the power grid, water systems and expanding access to the internet.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg explained the racist history of highways, designed to keep neighborhoods segregated and said that the new bill would help to reverse legacies of discrimination.
