Jones, 41, is facing execution at 4 p.m. CT on Thursday after being on death row for nearly 20 years.
Jones was convicted of shooting and killing Paul Howell, a businessman from an affluent Oklahoma City suburb in 1999.
Connie Ellison, Howell’s girlfriend at the time, has raised doubts recently about the guilty verdict of Jones. Millions believe Jones is innocent, including his mother, Madeline Davis-Jones, who visited Jones in prison for hours on Wednesday.
