14:28Now PlayingJury selection has kicked off in the trial for former police officer Kim Potter, who is accused of mistaking her firearm for a Taser when she pulled it out and killed Daunte Wright in April.
Wright had been pulled over in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, for having an expired license plate and an air freshener hanging from his rearview mirror, which police claim obstructed his view. Potter has since pleaded not guilty to first and second-degree manslaughter charges. Deputy executive counsel Leslie Ricard Chambers, attorney William O. Wagstaff and BNC chief legal correspondent Laura McNeal join “BNC Live” host Tashanea Whitlow to help break down all that’s happened and what’s to come in the case.
