Dec 3, 20214:02Now PlayingCivil rights attorney Ben Crump holds a press conference in Chicago to call for an FBI investigation into the death of Jelani Day, marking 100 days since his body was found.
Day disappeared in August before being reported. Police said his car was found in Peru, Illinois and agencies began searching for him. A little more than a week later, on Sept. 4, a male body was found "near the south bank of the Illinois River," but it wasn't identified as Day until Sept. 23. A coroner determined his cause of death was drowning, but it remains unclear how he got in the water.
