Shuai accused a high-level government official of sexual assault. “Start Your Day” host Mike Hill says the WTA has put principle over profit, a move that will cost the organization over $30 million in 2022. Hill is joined by “The World Tonight” host Nayyera Haqq. Haqq says if the WTA didn’t advocate for the safety of Shuai, they’ve undermined their entire purpose, which they say is to represent the equality and fair treatment of women in sports.
