17:38Now PlayingThe Georgia State Supreme Court has decided not to hear the case of a former elementary school principal in the Atlanta Public Schools test cheating scandal.
Last June, the state’s appeals court upheld the conviction against Dana Evans.
She was among 34 Black and one Filipino educators indicted in the longest and the most expensive criminal case in the history of Georgia.
The infamous case is detailed in the book, “None of the Above,” with a first-person account through the eyes of former first grade teacher Shani Robinson, who was also charged in the case along with her co-author Anna Simonton.
Robinson, education advocate and Simonton, journalist for The Appeal, joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss.
All this and more on “Black News Tonight.”
