A little over a year ago, the Feds predicted that 2021 would end with consumer prices 1.8% above what they were in 2020.
The consumer price index actually surged to 7%, which is its highest since 1982. After dealing with the coronavirus and the economic toll it has taken on Americans, this seems unfair.
Rakeen Mabud, chief economist and managing director of research and policy at the Groundwork Collaborative, joins Aisha Mills on “AMplified” to give insight on the state of inflation.
