1:23Now PlayingIt’s no secret that the world does not move without the work of Black creatives, and BNC is highlighting their successes more than ever this Black History Month.
Marc Lamont Hill of “Black News Tonight” will dedicate a portion of his show to honor the amazing Black inventors that have shaped the world. Mary Beatrice Kenner created the sanitary belt, which is the predecessor to the modern-day maxi pad, in 1956. Hill uses his time to honor the “amazing” woman, as well as some of her other inventions.
