SEC Preventing Charles Schwab From Entering Crypto, Ripple XRP & Bitcoin ETF

Charles Schwab, the $7-trillion Westlake, Texas brokerage, is looking to enter the crypto market but is waiting for regulatory clarity from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said the company's CEO Walter Bettinger. The regulatory clarity they need from the SEC is their decision on whether cryptocurrency is a security or an actual currency. Cryptocurrency’s future in the U.S. Is threatened by the SEC's action against Ripple writes Bloomberg Law. In addition the SEC has not approved a Bitcoin ETF yet while Canada has approved multiple crypto ETFs. The head of Turkey’s central bank ruled out a total ban of cryptocurrencies and said a wide range of crypto regulations is coming within two weeks, Trade Moneta reported. ‘Bitcoin incentivizes renewable energy’ agree Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey.
