I think that it is a very odd thing for a lot of us who enjoy period dramas to see so many black and mulatto characters as main parts of the story lines. Seeing this change has caused a lot of viewers to question just how many creative liberties have been taken in telling this story. And certainly there have been some. But one character that was not made up was the queen. Queen Charlotte. Her ancestry has been debated for decades. She is sometimes called the first black Queen of England. She was most likely biracial or multiracial - mixed race with African heritage being in her genealogy. But still some believe that she as not black at all, or if she was, it wasn't important. How do you feel about it?
