Many entrepreneurs avoid video content because production seems scary or overwhelming when you’ve never done one before. How do you know what to say? How do you say it? How do you make a video that will grab your preferred audience’s attention?
In this Tony Robbins Business Resiliency video, Todd Hartley, founder and CEO of WireBuzz, gives you his top video hacks to make impressive and professional sales and thought leadership videos. Working with David Pierce, a professional realtor in Arizona, Todd explains how he makes a great video in just a few minutes, using nothing but a cell phone.
To start, select a background that lends to your credibility. When shooting a video, most people opt to record against a blank wall. This is boring and unimaginative. For David, he suggests recording with his office behind him. This shows his viewers that he is a successful realtor with a large office – just as he is.
Next, be sure that the lighting in your video is right. Todd suggests using natural lighting that will warm up your face and show depth and background. The warmer your face, the friendlier you appear. You can also add to the friendliness of your video by using a soft and natural tone in your voice.
When positioning your hands, use one hand to hold your phone and your thumb to start and stop recording. Hold the phone at eye level and be sure to make eye contact with the camera lens the entire time you’re recording. This makes it so that the video feels more like a friendly conversation.
