4:23Now PlayingIn Paris yesterday, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was interviewed by CNN’s Jake Tapper about her meeting with officials from the French Foreign Ministry and others. Tulsi said the meeting covered how the U.S. and its European allies can better share terrorist-related intelligence, and steps the French are taking to secure their borders. Also discussed was Tulsi’s proposal to temporarily suspend the Visa Waiver Program (which allows people to travel to the U.S. without visas) in those European countries known to have high numbers of foreign fighters. The goal of the temporary suspension of the Visa Waiver Program for countries with high numbers of foreign fighters is to prevent jihadists who have fought with ISIS in Syria (who are practically impossible to track) from being able to travel to the U.S. without a visa. Tulsi also explained why the U.S. must end its war to overthrow the Syrian government of Assad and instead focus with the French and other allies to destroy our common enemy, ISIS and other Islamic extremists.
