Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on CNN Discussing How a U.S. Hellfire Missile Was Accidentally Shipped to Cuba

Interviewed by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer (1/8/16) for her reaction to news that a U.S. “hellfire” attack missile often used to target terrorists abroad was accidentally shipped to Cuba, congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said, “There’s so much about this that concerns me…This is part of a bigger problem that we have in our government, this lack of accountability where people can waste trillions of taxpayer dollars, start wars, lose weapons, and no one is held accountable. So the fact that it happened over a year ago, and no one knows yet who is responsible, how it happened, and that we haven’t gotten it back it yet, it’s crazy.”

Tulsi added, “This a key piece of weaponry that the United States uses frequently against our enemies and to have this misrouted and not returned directly back to our soil after it was used for training is completely unacceptable, and those responsible should be found and should be held accountable.”
