On September 8th, 2025, police officers found a body in the front trunk of an abandoned Tesla Model X. Despite the remains being severely decomposed, it was found that this girl had gone missing seventeen months prior: Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Along with this finding came the shocking revelation that the car was the property of music artist d4vd, real name David Anthony Burke. Ever since this fateful day, it’s increasingly become a matter of public knowledge that David had a relationship with this girl, which ultimately led to her death. Now that he's been charged criminally in the state of California, the authorities have released a lot of new information. So today, I'll be comparing the allegations made by the District Attorney's office and the police with the previously established digital papertrail to try and better understand what happened.
