Roskomnadzor keeps a list of Russian language websites that contradict Russia's official line on the war in Ukraine, and the Russian federal censor then blocks that information and reports it to a central data base. Along with Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, every day more and more websites are getting blocked by the Russian agency that monitors, controls, and censors mass media. In 2022 they blocked on average 5,000 websites per week. But this month 15,000 websites were blocked by the Russian government in the second week of December alone. What's going on?
