Saudi Arabia is on the verge of bankruptcy... and this is a problem for the whole world. For centuries, religion has played a major role in this country. And we're not talking about just any religion: Salafism is the most orthodox and austere interpretation of Islam. Although the Saudi Royal House is also Salafist, many religious leaders consider them traitors. Their luxuries and extravagances are at odds with a belief based on modesty and austerity.
This religious clash has generated an enormous problem of terrorism in the country. If the economy of Saudi Arabia collapses, many people will become unemployed. And that puts them at even greater risk of radicalization. But why does Saudi Arabia have a society so prone to radicalization? Why is its government incapable of stopping radicalism? Is there a solution to this problem? In this video we answer these questions.
