YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAfter Stephen Colbert called Donald Trump's mouth Vladimir Putin's "cockholster," the FCC was flooded with demands he be fined. But should the FCC have the power to do it? Let us know what you think in the comments and subscribe for new videos every week!
Stephen Colbert is no stranger to the FCC - after making a joke involving Asians, his show the Colbert Report was the target of the #CancelColbert campaign. However, some people think he crossed the line when on his show, "Late Night with Stephen Colbert," he said "You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c--k holster." Those people demanded the Federal Communications Commission fine Colbert, even though the word in question was bleeped out. While the FCC ultimately decided not to fine Colbert, it raises questions about what the appropriate FCC powers and regulations are. In this day and age of the uncensored internet, should enforcing the rules written to regulate broadcast TV decades ago still be part of the government's job? Let us know what you think and subscribe to our YouTube channel (it's like TV for the future) for more.
