There were five near misses involving commercial airliners in the just the past month, seven this year so far. Air Traffic Controllers say the solution is to bring in more air traffic controllers. The FAA disagrees. Experts agree that new technology is needed including a complete overhaul of the ATC system; we need 21st century systems to replace 1960s technology.
