YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThere won’t be an easy start to Joe Biden’s presidency. He’s taking office after more than 400,000 Americans have died of COVID-19. The economy is collapsing. Millions are out of work and can’t pay their rent or mortgages. White supremacy is no longer operating in the shadows. And all of this as the world is at a critical point with climate change.
Alexandra Rojas has some ideas on what the new president’s priorities should be. She’s the executive director of Justice Democrats, the group that helped recruit Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman to Congress.
Rojas thinks Biden needs to prioritize health care expansion, climate policy, green jobs and the well being of Americans over unity with Republicans. And she and her group want to keep building a progressive bloc inside Congress to keep up the fight.
