1:38Now PlayingMehdi Hasan, columnist for The Intercept and host of the Deconstructed podcast, takes down former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in a scathing critique of this week's CNN-hosted Democratic presidential debates. Hickenlooper barely registers as a blip on the polls, and yet the framing of the questions seemed to place Hickenlooper's so-called moderate views at the center, while casting front-runners Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren as outsiders. "What is moderate about an out-of-touch multimillionaire like John Delaney?" Hasan asks. "When you look at the polling, [Sanders and Warren] are more in line with mainstream America in opinion … than any of those candidates who are basically polling at 1% and represent the 1% on stage."
