On Wednesday, September 13th, 2016, Presidential Candidate Donald Trump's VP pick, Mike Pence, was asked about David Duke (again) during a Capitol Hill news conference. That particular question has been one that has been asked for what feels like, years on end. Over and over again, the Trump campaign is asked about David Duke.

The reason is because Duke is a former KKK member and has recently come out to give words of support for (not an endorsement of) Donald Trump. Although he has not been in the KKK for 40 years, Duke being mentioned as a person who likes what Donald Trump is talking about is fuel for the fire of the liberal media. They eat it up like buttermilk pancakes. What better way to fulfill the "Trump is a racist" narrative by pairing him with a former klansman?

During the aforementioned news conference on Capitol Hill, the subject of David Duke was brought up again to Mike Pence. Most likely, in an effort to draw attention away from Hillary Clinton's "deplorable" remarks, which have been compared to Mitt Romney's infamous "47%" remark in which he said that 47% of the American populous will vote for Obama regardless, because they feel entitled that the government will take care of them, among other things. Hillary Clinton's comments were about half of Trump supporters being in the "basket of deplorables" which includes people that are racist, sexist, and homophobic. So of course, the liberal media does not want to have Hillary Clinton be compared to Mitt Romney as far as gaffe level is related, so they dig up David Duke yet again.

All the liberal media is doing, however, is drawing more people to Trump and away from them. With the advent and proliferation of the internet, people are able to do some independent reading and research and not fall for whatever they are fed on cable network TV news, which, at this point, is the equivalent to low-quality fast food. Cheaply made, just enough foodstuffs in it to qualify as edible.

Mike Pence handled the question with class, refusing to call David Duke a "deplorable" like Hillary Clinton called American people. Which was a good move, because not only does he come away as the bigger person, not using the type of language Hillary Clinton used, but he also does not give validation to her choice of wording by using it do describe someone else.

Pence is a great balance for Trump. Cool, easy-going, level-headed, and fair. The near anti-thesis for Trump's brash, bold, in-your-face, showman style. Two intelligent men on a common path for one good goal.
