as posted by the channelI just hit the 50,000 subscriber mark on YouTube. I accomplished the goal in a little over 10 months of consistent video uploading. The first few videos on the channel were created using my BlackBerry phone to record voice notes, then uploading the audio files via bluetooth to edit in Adobe Audition… then placing a series of pictures on top of the audio in Adobe Premier Pro. Rendering time even for light projects like that was horrendous on my iMac computer from 2009. As my channel started to grow and more money started to roll in, I invested money into a new microphone, which is an Audio Technica ATR2100 USB. Then I eventually purchased a Logitech C920 1080p HD Webcam to record my face along with audio from the mic. Then I purchased a bunch of computer parts to build a powerful custom PC that would slice through rendering times.
My “day job” is as a freelance graphic designer. Which means, I work from home. Any waking moment of free time I have is pretty much dedicated to bringing news from a common sense perspective to anyone out there who appreciates that viewpoint. Many people have been subscribed to my channel from the beginning when the quality of my product was not at the level it is now. I thank all of them for their loyalty and support, so I want to give them a peek more into my personal life. I asked my subscribers to send me questions via email and commenting below my video that they want me to answer. I received over 700 comments and emails. I read through every single one and wound up recording about 4.5 hours of material that I will release as a 3 part series. Hopefully everyone enjoys the series and/or is able to gain some inspiration/knowledge from it.
