15:45Now PlayingA group called Humanity for Progress dropped a video on Vimeo simply labeled #StandUpForUS in which they feature a bevy of random celebrities expressing how upset they are with Donald Trump. As with other random videos released before and after the actual election, these celebrities appear to be attempting to persuade people to lessen the impact of Trump. Or, at least, what they believe his impact is. This time, they were speaking mostly to people in Congress in attempt to persuade them to obstruct Trump.
The “celebrities” in questions levied a few allegations at Trump. They included but were not limited to him being an “anti-semite,” “xenophobic,” and “islamophobic.” None of which can be proven of course. Most of which are just plain silly on their face. How is it possible that Trump is anti-semitic when his daughter is actually a Jewish convert married to an ethnic Jew? Donald Trump is also a big proponent of the state of Israel and even stood with them on the recent issue of settlements in the West Bank that even liberals were against.
It appears as if the celebrities and the people who fund these videos that are intended to go viral using the dramatic flair the actors possess will not cease. They tried to appeal to the American people before the election. That failed. Then they tried to appeal to the electors of the Electoral College. Not only did that fail, it backfired, and more electors voted against Hillary Clinton than voted against Donald Trump. Now they’re trying to appeal to members of Congress who have actual constituencies to serve, not random Z-list celebrities nobody really cares about.
The Trump years in the White House will be glorious years. And whether the potluck of random celebrities who make phony viral videos like it or not, we will make America great again.
