We often hear that the far left and right are the same, but is there any scientific evidence for that? While I've mentioned right-wing authoritarianism before, today we look at left-wing authoritarianism. Is there really a horseshoe wherein the right and left are equally prone to authoritarian behavior or beliefs? Rather than speculate and chuckle smugly about it, today lets see if we can find any evidence for an authoritarian horseshoe, and oh wow, is it a doozy of academic slap-fighting, and gee, how I love it. I hope you do too.
