1:23Now PlayingSpanish police on Monday removed an eight-year-old climate activist from a lamp post outside the COP25 summit in Madrid, after she climbed it in a bid to spread awareness about global warming.
Eight-year-old Zozo warned in her message that "we are running out of time" to keep the planet's temperature from rising by 1.5 degrees Celsius.
"The longer our politicians are wasting time with nonsense people will keep dying and losing their homes," Zozo told media after being taken down from the lamp post.
Police left Zozo hanging for around half an hour before climbing up to meet her and cutting the ropes she was hanging from to bring her down.
Zozo carried out a similar protest at a march against climate change in Madrid last Friday that was attended by thousands of others.
