0:59Now PlayingAuthorities in Iowa say at least one person was seriously hurt after about 50 vehicles crashed on Interstate 80 during a quick-moving snowstorm.
Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Alex Dinkla says the pileup happened Monday morning just east of Des Moines. Parts of the roadway remained closed for hours.
Dinkla says the crash involved several semi-trailers and passenger vehicles.
The snowstorm created treacherous driving conditions Monday, forcing law enforcement agencies to respond to dozens of crashes.
